A $1 billion COVID-19 assistance package to European potato farmers could see a mountain of cheap French fries dumped on Australian supermarket shelves.
Although that may be good news for cholesterol-loving consumers, Aussie potato growers are furious.
The peak vegetable growers’ body AUSVEG is calling on the government to intervene immediately.
