City streets brought to a standstill again as Extinction Rebellion protests enter second day

An Extinction Rebellion activist is in custody after bringing traffic on a Brisbane bridge to a standstill for hours this morning.

Activists have continued targeting cities across Australia and the world to pressure governments into declaring a climate emergency, in day two of a week-long action campaign.

Dozens of arrests were made yesterday and with police out in force, those numbers could easily be matched today.
