Northcote - The Coolest, Vibrant & friendly Suburb

Melbourne being one of most renowned and largest city of Australia, has to offer a multiethnic vibe that makes it even more appealing. Interestingly, Melbourne also have some amazingly cool suburbs that are visited by even the most discerning of visitors from around the world. Out of these one of the coolest suburb is Northcote, a pleasant place full of restaurants and to shop or find some after evening fun.





Once situated at the outer limits of the city, Northcote is 6km North-East of the CBD in Melbourne and now nearly considered the part of the inner city. Excessive housing is driven up by financiers and rental houses in desperate necessity of repair in spite of their high costs. The Apartment towers have bounced up on all the High Street, though not one of them looks particularly alluring. Still with more than its fair share of hipsters, most of the young families and professional developers are moving in. Northcote is one of the most wanted suburbs than any other in or outside of Melbourne.

With a history covering 150 years, High Street Northcote is one of the most dynamic and creative locations in Melbourne. For the shopping lovers “I dream a highway” will fulfil your every wish from super-cool clothing, trendy men and women's fashion to locally made homewares, shoes and gifts at reasonable. High Street is not just the extent of Northcote’s beauty, but there is so much explore on this vibrant street. Where to Eat


There are a number of places to choose from for eat and drink in this part of town that it is hard to select where to start from.


You can get a brunch at Barry, Bicycle Thieves or Penny Farthing Espresso. Wesley Anne, a pub established in an old church offers casual drinks, great food and wonderful live music in the cool garden. The restaurant is a wanted spot for an after work hang out, or for a night full of musical magic.





Black Waffle, an Ice cream shop on busy High Street Northcote offers coffee or lunch, serving up fresh bagels and homemade waffles. For a wonderful dinner there is Pizza Meine Liebe, Estelle Bistro, Primo and Real Fine. For a complete different drinking experience come to Thornbury, a food truck park with a permanent bar, filled to the edge on sunny afternoons.
