Overnight deluge breaks rain records in parts of state

Heavy rainfall across the state overnight has broken records in the Otways and sparked warnings for drivers on the state’s roads.

Aireys Inlet recorded its wettest day in 28 years. Closer to Melbourne, Avalon recorded its wettest May day in 50 years.
