The fragility of Australia's gradual re-opening has been exposed and the entire country is on edge as states and territories nervously brace for the new wave of coronavirus spreading from Victoria.
Victoria has been all but cut off from the rest of the country and metropolitan Melbourne is now back under Stage Three lockdown restrictions.

Many Victorians have used their final days of freedom to flee to a safer state, but the window of opportunity to do so may have closed as strict new border rules are introduced in different ways across Australia.
